Creating a strategy, linking trades to it, and seeing how that strategy performs.
By NKTrades
Strategies are a Premium feature. You'll find them under Trading → Strategies.
A strategy (your game plan) has a name, a description, a status (active, inactive or archived), and rule groups. Each rule group has a title and its own rules; for each rule you choose when it shows (always, only on a win, only on a loss, or only on break-even). That lets you keep, say, your entry criteria separate from your exit rules.
Name, description, status and rules all save at once with the same button. Changing your rules later isn't retroactive: trades already linked to the strategy keep the rules as they stood at the time.
You can share a strategy with the community. Others then see your rules and, if you turn it on, your linked journal results too, but only for the trades you've explicitly linked to that strategy.
You link trades to a strategy from Trading → Trade View. Select one or more trades with the checkboxes, pick a strategy from the dropdown that appears, and click Link. You can also unlink trades by choosing 'no strategy'. When logging a new trade, you can assign a strategy right in the form.
Open a strategy for its own detail page, with three tabs (visible only to you as the owner):
Statistics: the key numbers for the linked trades, plus how closely you followed your own rules.
Trades: the list of trades linked to this strategy.
Settings: name, description, status, sharing, and your rule groups.
Tick off on a trade which rules you followed, and that counts toward your strategy's discipline, regardless of whether the trade won or lost.
Without any linked trades a strategy shows no data yet: link your first trade and the statistics fill in on their own.
