Every trade belongs to a trading account: how to create one, which broker to pick, and the limit on the free plan.
By NKTrades
Every trade in your journal is attached to a trading account: an execution account with a broker or prop firm. Create your first account before you import trades or log one by hand.
Go to Trading → Accounts.
Click New account.
Give it a name you'll recognise, for example your evaluation or funded account.
Choose Tradovate or TopStepX as the Broker for this account.
Fill in the Currency (USD by default) and click Create.
Pick the broker carefully: the journal reads an imported file the way the account's broker writes it. Choose the wrong one, and you get no trades, or wrong ones.
Create a separate trading account for each execution account, one for your combine and another for the funded account that follows. That keeps the numbers apart.
On the free plan you can create up to two trading accounts. The table shows how many you're already using. Once you hit that limit, you can upgrade for an unlimited number.
If you go back to the free plan after having more than two accounts, your existing accounts stay put. The limit only applies when creating a new one.
A new account starts empty. Fill it with an import from your broker, or log a trade by hand with the Log Trade button in Trading → Trade View: symbol, direction, entry, size, and optionally exit and fees, are enough to get started. Leave the exit empty and the trade stays open until you complete it later.
Click the trash icon on the account's row in the table. There is no separate edit action: you can't change a name or currency after creation right now. Deleting and re-creating is the only way if you make a mistake.
Deleting an account also removes every trade attached to it, along with their notes and tags. This can't be undone.
