What a challenge costs and brings in is tracked separately from your trades. Here's how to log a transaction and read your return.
By NKTrades
What a challenge costs and brings in, you track on Trading → Prop firm → Finance, separate from your journal, because this is about money, not trades.
Click Add transaction and fill in:
Challenge: which challenge it belongs to.
Type: Evaluation, Reset, Activation, Payout or Other.
Amount: always positive; the type decides whether it's a cost or income.
Date and an optional Description.
Click Save. You can edit or delete a transaction later; the KPIs recalculate automatically.
The same page shows the number of Transactions, what you've Earned in total (payouts) and Spent, and the Net result. As long as you haven't spent anything yet, there's no ROI shown: a dash, not 0%, because there's simply nothing to divide by yet.
Trading → Prop firm shows the same picture at a glance, plus a chart of your return over time (where income and expenses cross is your break-even) and a breakdown by firm and by expense type. Alongside it are your passing rate (how many accounts reached funding) and an overview of your breaches.
Log a transaction when the money actually comes in or the cost is actually incurred. A reservation doesn't belong yet. Everything can be corrected afterwards.
That keeps your financial picture as reliable as your journal: no estimates up front, only what's actually been logged. Not sure which type fits (say, whether an activation fee should be separate from a reset)? Just pick whichever description is clearest to you.

Creating a challenge and linking it to a trading account
A challenge belongs to a trading account in your journal: the trades on it drive your progress. Here's how to set one up.
Phases, moving on and resets
A challenge moves through phases, each with its own rules and its own window of trades. Here's how moving on and a reset work.
Drawdown rules: static, trailing close and trailing EOD
A prop firm calculates your drawdown one of three ways. Each method explained with a small worked example.
This looks like a breach
The app warns you when the numbers point to a breach, but you set your challenge's status yourself. Here's how, and why.
