A challenge moves through phases, each with its own rules and its own window of trades. Here's how moving on and a reset work.
By NKTrades
A prop firm challenge moves through phases: Step 1, sometimes Step 2 and Step 3, then Funded. Each phase has its own rules and its own window of trades: your journal stays intact, but what counts towards the rules changes at every step.
Once you've hit the profit target with enough trading days, the challenge shows a message that you can move on. That doesn't happen automatically: you confirm it.
Open the menu on the challenge (⋮ in the overview, or Actions on the detail page) and choose Move to next phase.
Did the firm hand you a new account for this step? Pick it under Journal account for the next phase, or leave it on Stay on the same journal account to keep going on the current trading account.
Adjust the Challenge name if you need to.
Confirm with Move on.
Trades from before you moved on no longer count towards the new phase. They stay in your journal, though.
Failed a phase but the firm gives you another shot? Do that with Reset phase in the same menu. The phase starts over from that moment; your old trades stay in the journal but no longer count towards the rules.
Choose Reset phase.
Enter the Reset fee if the firm charges for it, or leave the field empty if the reset was free.
Got a new account with the reset? Link the matching journal account here too.
Some firms hand you a completely new account on a pass (or a reset). Link that new trading account when you move on or reset, and you import the new phase's trades into it without touching your old numbers.

Creating a challenge and linking it to a trading account
A challenge belongs to a trading account in your journal: the trades on it drive your progress. Here's how to set one up.
Drawdown rules: static, trailing close and trailing EOD
A prop firm calculates your drawdown one of three ways. Each method explained with a small worked example.
This looks like a breach
The app warns you when the numbers point to a breach, but you set your challenge's status yourself. Here's how, and why.
Tracking costs, payouts and ROI
What a challenge costs and brings in is tracked separately from your trades. Here's how to log a transaction and read your return.
