Every trading day, at 09:00 New York time (half an hour before the open), the bot posts one question in Discord, with the answers already attached below it. One tap and you've checked in.
Why before the open
The check-in looks forward: how are you feeling, what's your plan, what are you watching for today. Nothing has happened yet to look back on. That's what the journal reminder is for, later in the day, when you look back on how your day went.
How to answer
There are two kinds of questions. For a scale question, react with the number from 1 to 5 that fits you. For a bias question, react with 🟢 for long, 🔴 for short, or ⚪ for flat. The reactions are already on the message: you just tap yours.
React with more than one number or choice and it counts as "reacted, but no clear answer": it won't count toward your average.
Weekdays only
The check-in only runs Monday through Friday: there's no open to prepare for on weekends. A streak counts consecutive check-ins, not calendar days, so the weekend never breaks your streak.
What it earns you
Checking in earns badges: for your first check-in, for streaks of seven and thirty in a row, and for a hundred check-ins in total. Chatting in the channel on a check-in day is a separate track, with its own badges. Both count toward your XP: see Account → Profile → Achievements.
You do need to be linked with Discord (Account → Connections → Discord) before your check-ins count toward your badges. Link later, and your earlier check-ins count retroactively.
